Regular Season Round 9: Bisceglie - Giulianova 75-52

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Bisceglie (8-1) crushed at home 8th ranked Giulianova (4-5) 75-52 on Sunday. Giulianova was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Gianmarco Leggio (203-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Riccardo Antonelli contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Bisceglie players scored in double figures. Point guard Danilo Gallerini (185-80) answered with 16 points and swingman Simone De Angelis (201-86) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Giulianova. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bisceglie maintains first place in B with 8-1 record. Loser Giulianova dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Bisceglie will face San Severo (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Giulianova will play against Montegrano and hope to win that game.
