Regular Season Round 12: Zaglebie - AZS PCz 74-70

There was a minor upset in Sosnowiec where 9th ranked AZS PCz (3-8) was defeated by twelfth ranked Zaglebie (3-8) 74-70 on Sunday. Zaglebie forced 19 AZS PCz turnovers. AZS PCz was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 steals and power forward Jakub Czyz (205-95) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Zaglebie players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Przemyslaw Laszewski (194-90) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Mateusz Gazarkiewicz (193-91) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. AZS PCz's coach Dariusz Szynkiel let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Zaglebie moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated AZS PCz. Zaglebie will face Wisla Krakow (#13) on the road in the next round.
