No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Ourense (8-4) defeated at home 17th ranked Cocinas.com (2-10) 79-72 on Tuesday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-11. But Cocinas.com won third quarter 25-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cocinas.com was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Cristian Diaz (185-92) who scored 18 points. Canadian-Bosnian guard Diego Kapelan (190-87, college: McNeese St.) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Ourense players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian power forward Volodymyr Gerun (208-94, college: Portland) who recorded 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Alberto Ruiz de Galarreta (198-83) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Ourense have a solid three-game winning streak.
