Rather expected game when 8th ranked Maccabi Rehovot (3-5) lost to sixth ranked Hapoel B/S (5-3) in Beer Sheva 82-88. The best player for the winners was power forward Ben Eisenhardt (208-90, college: Whitman) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Hapoel B/S players scored in double figures. American guard Marquis Addison (195-91, college: Missouri So., agency: XL Basketball Agency) produced 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Maccabi Rehovot's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel B/S moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Maccabi Rehovot dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Hapoel B/S's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (#14) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Maccabi Rehovot will play against Hap.R/G Givat. (#6) and hope to win that game.
