Regular Season Round 2: SBS Ostrava - Flying Foxes 60-66

There was a minor upset when Czech SBS Ostrava (2-1) was defeated at home by Austrian Flying Foxes (1-1) 66-60. SBS Ostrava was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 20-8 third quarter run of Flying Foxes. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American point guard Andrea Riley (165-88, college: Oklahoma St., agency: LBM Management) notched 26 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and Bulgarian center Vera Perostiyska (195-82, college: FIU) supported her with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds by Anezka Kopecka (181-0) did not help to save the game for SBS Ostrava. American guard Danielle Butts (178-92, college: N.Carolina) added 18 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. SBS Ostrava's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Flying Foxes will play against Kvarner (#7) in Pleternica in the next round. SBS Ostrava will play on the road against Piestanske C. in Piestany and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
