Regular Season Round 11: Stevnsgade - SISU 70-92
Date: December 2, 2016
Bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 92-70 loss to seventh ranked SISU (3-7) in Stevnsgade on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Stevnsgade managed to win fourth quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SISU dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 28 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Alassan Touray (194-93) helped adding 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four SISU players scored in double figures. American power forward Davie Champagnie (206-90, college: Martin Methodist) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and Spanish guard Jonel Visaq (195-88) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SISU moved-up to sixth place. Stevnsgade lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. SISU will meet at home higher ranked Randers (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stevnsgade will play against Naestved (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
