The game in was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Dacin Tigers (7-3) played at the court of 6th ranked KKL (2-7). Dacin Tigers managed to secure a 7-point victory 89-82. Dacin Tigers outrebounded KKL 43-30 including a 37-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by KKL helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Yi-Xiang Zhou (191-91) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winning side. Four Dacin Tigers players scored in double figures. American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and guard Tai-Jie Wang (183-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for KKL in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dacin Tigers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 7-3 record behind leader Fubon Braves. KKL lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Dacin Tigers will have a break next round. KKL will play against Bank of Taiwan (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
