Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Venta de Banos (1-8) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Santurtzi (6-3) 90-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Santurtzi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for forward Joseba Iglesias (200-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Mikel Sainz (195-95) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. American center Ronald Farmer-Blanchard (208-91, college: Wash.Adventist) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Estonian Robert Valge (192-97) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Santurtzi. They moved-up to fifth place in Group A-A, which they share with Valladolid Univ. Venta de Banos lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost.
