Regular Season Round 7: Terpsithea - Kronos AD 70-84

Kronos AD can celebrate finally their first win this season after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Glyfadas, where they defeated Terpsithea (1-6) 84-70 on Sunday. Kronos AD forced 19 Terpsithea turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Australian forward Alex Sheedy (185-92, college: Fresno St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Maria Avtzi (172-90) helped adding 31 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 12 steals. At the losing side American point guard Samaria Howard (170-94, college: Tenn Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and forward Fani Tzarou (178-95) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Kronos AD left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Terpsithea. It was Terpsithea's fifth loss in a row. Kronos AD will meet at home higher ranked Proteas (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Terpsithea will play against Niki Lefkadas (#7) and hope to win that game.
