Regular Season Round 21: Tokyo Excel. - Bambitious Nara 77-75

A very close game took place in Tokyo between Tokyo Excel. and Bambitious Nara. Fifth ranked Tokyo Excel. (7-13) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Bambitious Nara (6-14). Tokyo Excel. managed to escape with a 2-point win 77-75 in the fight for the fourth place. Bambitious Nara cut a 17-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. American players dominated the game. Center Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side and center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Bambitious Nara in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bambitious Nara's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tokyo Excel. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ehime OV. Bambitious Nara lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Shinshu BW. Tokyo Excel. will meet Aomori Watts (#5) on the road in the next round. Bambitious Nara will play against Dragonflies in Hiroshima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
