Regular Season Round 11: Zarautz Ulacia - Mondragon 57-64

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Mondragon and 11th ranked Zarautz Ulacia had identical 3-5 record. But Zarautz Ulacia was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Mondragon 64-57 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Mondragon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for point guard Imanol Ceciaga (186-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Diosdado Medizabal helped adding 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Mondragon players scored in double figures. Forward Xabier Osa (196-86) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Estanislao Andres (185-90) scored 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mondragon (4-5) moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A, which they share with Valle de Egues. Zarautz Ulacia lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost.
