Regular Season Round 10: Raholan Pyrkiva - PuHu Juniorit 93-90

PuHu Juniorit (10-1) recorded its first loss in Tampere. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (7-4) 93-90. PuHu Juniorit was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Guard Tommi Rasi (184-98) notched 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Bulgarian guard Angel Mavrodiev (183-91) supported him with 20 points and 4 assists. Four Raholan Pyrkiva players scored in double figures. Even 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals by American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstr.Atlantic) did not help to save the game for PuHu Juniorit. Guard Eero Sahlberg (188-90) added 20 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Raholan Pyrkiva maintains fifth position in Division with 7-4 record. PuHu Juniorit at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Raholan Pyrkiva will play against higher ranked Korikouvot (#4) in Kouvola in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. PuHu Juniorit will play on the road against Ura Basket in Kaarina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
