Very expected game in Castellanza where 8th ranked Agrigento (4-6) was defeated by third ranked Legnano (8-2) 80-76 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Legnano made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Agrigento turnovers. Agrigento was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American Nikolas Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The other American import center William Mosley (203-89, college: Northwestern St.) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Damen Bell-Holter (206-90, college: ORU) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Alessandro Piazza (175-87) added 3 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five Legnano and four Agrigento players scored in double figures. Legnano moved-up to second place in A2. Loser Agrigento dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Legnano will face Latina Basket (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Agrigento will play against Tortona and hope to win that game.
