Regular Season Round 13: Caceres - Castello 62-72

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Caceres Basket (6-7) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Castello (5-8) 72-62 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Castello. Caceres Basket was better in fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for guard Borja Arevalo (195-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Eduardo Duran (190-91, agency: Duran International) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Arevalo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Sergio Perez (205-79) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (208-90, college: De Paul) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Caceres Basket. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Castello maintains thirteenth place with 5-8 record. Loser Caceres Basket keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Castello will face higher ranked Melilla Baloncesto (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
