The game between fifth ranked Universidad de Concepcion (12-7) and 8th ranked Las Animas (11-10) in Concepcion ended with biggest points difference. Universidad de Concepcion outscored guests from Valdivia 75-50. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) stepped up and scored 24 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals for the winners and American center Paul Harrison (203-89, college: N.Greenville) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American guard Dominic Cheek (198-91, college: Villanova) with 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Marcelo Perez (193-99) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Universidad de Concepcion moved-up to third place. Las Animas at the other side dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Universidad de Concepcion will play against league's leader Los Leones in Quilpue in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
