No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Anwil (7-3) beat 16th ranked Stabill (1-9) in Tarnobrzeg 87-75 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Anwil. Stabill managed to win second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists for the winning side and Belgian-American guard Tyler Haws (193-91, college: BYU) accounted for 16 points. Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-92, college: Texas A&M-CC) came up with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks and American Travis Releford (198-90, college: Kansas) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Stabill in the defeat. Five Stabill players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Anwil. They moved-up to third place, which they share with MKS DG and PGE Turow. Loser Stabill keeps the sixteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Start Lublin. Anwil will meet at home PGE Turow (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Stabill will play against Krosno (#9) and hope to win that game.
