Regular Season Round 12: Horsholm - Horsens IC 65-93

An interesting game for Horsens IC (10-1) which played road game in Horsholm against 3rd ranked Horsholm (6-5). First ranked Horsens IC had an easy win 93-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Horsholm. The game without a history. Horsens IC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Horsholm's 22. The winners were led by American power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and international guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) supported him with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by forward Emil Hjorth (198-96) did not help to save the game for Horsholm. The former international point guard Mikael Nielsen (180-90) added 17 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-1 record. Loser Horsholm keeps the third place with five games lost. Horsens IC will meet at home SISU (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Horsholm will play against the league's second-placed Bakken in Aarhus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
