Regular Season Round 11: Faenza - Milano Hikkaduwa 79-78
Date: December 8, 2016
Very expected game when 13th ranked Milano Urania (3-8) was edged on the road by sixth ranked Faenza (8-3) 79-78 on Thursday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) who scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Emanuele Pini (197-95) chipped in 16 points. The former international power forward Andrea Paleari (202-81) produced 28 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Tommaso Ingrosso (206-92, college: W.Texas CC) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Faenza and five Milano Urania players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Faenza. They moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Cento and Crema. Milano Urania lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Faenza will face league's leader Bergamo on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Milano Urania will play against Vicenza (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
