There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Oleggio (5-6) won against at home 4th placed Montecatiniterme (6-4) 94-86 on Thursday. Oleggio made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Edoardo Gallazzi (200-86) who scored 25 points and 5 assists. Guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) chipped in 20 points. Point guard Valerio Circosta (188-87) produced 24 points and point guard Guido Meini (188-79) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Oleggio moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Desio and Padova. Newly promoted Montecatiniterme dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Oleggio will face Fiorentina (#9) in Firenze in the next round.
