Regular Season Round 13: Hagen BG - Salzkotten 88-78

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Salzkotten (7-6) lost on the road to third ranked Hagen BG (10-3) 88-78 on Friday. Hagen BG looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Salzkotten was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Moritz Krume (202-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Domonique Crawford (196-84, college: Youngstown St.) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Bryce Leavitt (193-94, college: Seattle Pacific) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Eike-Simon Kerfs (202-95) added 14 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Salzkotten. Five Hagen BG and four Salzkotten players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hagen BG keeps a position of West leader, which they share with Muenster and Schwelm. Loser Salzkotten keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Hagen BG will face Bonn II (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Salzkotten will play against Bielefeld and hope to win that game.
