Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked STB Le Havre (4-5) was defeated at home by second ranked Charleville-Mezieres (7-2) 80-64 on Friday. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 47-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Charleville-Mezieres dominated on the defensive end, holding STB Le Havre to just 7 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to STB Le Havre's 32. Charleville-Mezieres forced 19 STB Le Havre turnovers. The victory was the third consecutive win for Charleville-Mezieres. They maintain second place with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Provence Basket. Loser STB Le Havre dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Charleville-Mezieres will face bottom-ranked SPO Rouen (#18) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. STB Le Havre will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#17) in Boulogne-sur-Mer and hope to win that game.
