Regular Season Round 10: Koroivos - Trikalla 87-76

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Koroivos and 14th ranked Aiolos Trikallon had identical 2-7 record. This time Koroivos used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Trikallon 87-76. The game was mostly controlled by Koroivos. Aiolos Trikallon was better in third quarter 22-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for American Toddrick Gotcher (193-93, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). The other American import point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. Koroivos' coach Nikos Kalabakos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Lithuanian Gilvydas Biruta (203-91, college: Rhode Island) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kelsey Barlow (196-91, college: Ill.-Chicago) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Aiolos Trikallon. Koroivos (3-7) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Apollon Patras and Lavrio. Aiolos Trikallon lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Koroivos' next round opponent will be higher ranked AGOR (#6) in Rethymno and it may be quite challenging game. Aiolos Trikallon will play at home against the league's second-placed Panathinaikos (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
