The game between Top Four teams took place in Plovdiv. Third ranked host Academik Plovdiv (5-3) defeated 4th placed Rilski (4-4) 96-85. Strangely Rilski outrebounded Academik Plovdiv 40-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Oscar Bellfield (187-90, college: UNLV) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. French-American forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international guard Yordan Bozov (191-79) added 26 points respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Academik Plovdiv moved-up to second place, which they share with Beroe. Rilski lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Balkan. Academik Plovdiv will meet at home league's leader Lukoil Acad. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rilski will play against Balkan in Botevgrad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
