Regular Season Round 12: Amsterdam - Den Bosch 87-80

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Amsterdam and 5th ranked Dukes UDB had identical 5-6 record. This time Amsterdam used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Den Bosch 87-80. It looked good early as Dukes UDB took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Amsterdam had a 32-8 second period charge getting the lead and Dukes UDB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-87. Dukes UDB was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Dimeo Van Der Horst (197-91) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Max Van Schaik (210-91, agency: Court Side) who added 20 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Amsterdam players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Antwan Scott (188-92, college: Colorado St.) with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import swingman Justin Watts (196-90, college: N.Carolina) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Amsterdam maintains fourth position with 6-6 record. Dukes UDB at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Amsterdam will play against higher ranked Leiden (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Dukes UDB will play against Leeuwarden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
