Important game to mention about took place in Trieste. Seventh ranked Alma Trieste (7-5) saved a 2-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Mantova (7-5) 69-67 in the fight for the fourth place. Alma Trieste dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Mantova's 26. They outrebounded Mantova 44-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by forward Matteo Da Ros (204-89) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Jordan Parks (201-94, college: N.C.Central, agency: Two Points) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Alma Trieste players scored in double figures. Even 23 points by swingman Alessandro Amici (200-91) did not help to save the game for Mantova. American LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) added 24 points. Alma Trieste moved-up to fourth place in A2. Alma Trieste will play against Bondi Ferrara (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mantova will play against Unieuro Forli (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
