Regular Season Round 23: Osorno - CD Castro 83-73

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Osorno Basquetbol as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Osorno Basquetbol defeated 6th ranked CD Castro at home 83-73. Osorno Basquetbol looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) who scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. Center Yamene Coleman (208-86, college: Troy, agency: Interperformances) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Terrance Thomas (198-80, college: Baylor, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Tyrone Lee (204-90, college: Grand Valley St.) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four CD Castro players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. CD Castro lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. CD Castro will play next round against Espanol de Talca trying to get back on the winning streak. Osorno Basquetbol will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Puente Alto on the road.
