We should mention about the upset which took place in Belo Horizonte, where higher ranked Campo Mourao (4-5) lost to twelfth ranked Minas (3-5) in a road game 66-72. Minas outrebounded Campo Mourao 47-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. International guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-94) nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Anderson Mosso (205-82, college: Chipola JC) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Minas players scored in double figures. Minas' coach Cristiano Carvalho allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Douglas Nunes (208-87) came up with 15 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Greg Brown (188-94, college: St.Francis, PA) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Campo Mourao in the defeat. Minas maintains twelfth place with 3-5 record. Campo Mourao lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Minas' next round opponent will be higher ranked Mogi (#6) in Mogi das Cruzes and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
