Regular Season Round 13: Albacete - Cambados 73-78

Very expected game when 12th ranked Albacete (4-9) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Cambados (8-5) 78-73 on Friday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-73. American guard Brantley Osborne (193-91, college: Shepherd) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Osborne is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American guard Kris Davis (188-93, college: SIU Edwardsville) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and Cuban forward Georvys Elias (199-81) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Albacete players scored in double figures. Albacete's coach Alfredo Galvez let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cambados moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Valladolid and Sammic ISB. Albacete lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Cambados will face Blancos de Rueda (#4) in Valladolid in the next round. Albacete will play on the road against Agustinos-Leclerc (#10) in Leon and hope to win that game.
