Very predictable result when second ranked Charleville-Mezieres (8-2) beat at home bottom-ranked SPO Rouen (2-8) 89-85 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. SPO Rouen was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 23-17 charge of Charleville-Mezieres, which allowed them to win the game. They made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while SPO Rouen only scored eight points from the stripe. SPO Rouen was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (190-94, college: LIU Brooklyn) fired 26 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Naturalized Ivorian center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valparaiso) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds.
