Regular Season Round 15: Pro-Basket KT - AZS UJK Kielce 62-75

Everything went according to plan in Kutno where eighth ranked AZS UJK Kielce (7-7) beat 11th ranked Pro-Basket KT (5-10) 75-62 on Saturday. AZS UJK Kielce forced 25 Pro-Basket KT turnovers. Strangely Pro-Basket KT outrebounded AZS UJK Kielce 50-37 including 35 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when AZS UJK Kielce made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Mateusz Druszcz (184-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Igor Jagiello (192-95) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Arkadiusz Kobus (196-86, agency: Promotex) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds and center Filip Pruefer (208-96) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS UJK Kielce moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Pro-Basket KT at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. AZS UJK Kielce will face Ostrow Mazow. (#9) in Ostrow Mazowiecki in the next round. Pro-Basket KT will play on the road against AZS UMCS Lbn in Lublin and hope to win that game.
