Regular Season Round 12: Joventut LC - Ensino 74-69

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Joventut LC (8-4) beat 10th ranked Maquinaria Ensino (4-8) in Barcelona 74-69 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-14. But Maquinaria Ensino won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for point guard Angels Farre (165-95) who led her team to a victory with 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Nerea Garmendia contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Raquel Asensio (178-83) replied with 17 points and guard Alba Prieto (180-99) added 12 points in the effort for Maquinaria Ensino. Four Maquinaria Ensino players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Joventut LC have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group A. Loser Maquinaria Ensino keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Joventut LC will face GDKO Bizkaia (#6) in Galdakao in the next round. Maquinaria Ensino will play at home against ADBA (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
