Regular Season Round 11: Polpharma - Krosno 85-71

We should mention about the upset which took place in Starogard, where higher ranked Krosno (6-6) lost to thirteenth ranked Polpharma (5-7) in a road game 71-85 on Saturday. Polpharma forced 20 Krosno turnovers. The best player for the winners was naturalized American swingman Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo., agency: Court Side) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-96) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Royce Woolridge (190-92, college: Grand Canyon) produced 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and Swedish-American guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, college: Davidson) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Polpharma moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Asseco. Loser Krosno dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Polpharma will face higher ranked Energa Czarni (#9) in Slupsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
