Regular Season Round 24: Puente Alto - Osorno 76-78

Tenth-ranked Puente Alto (8-17) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Osorno Basquetbol (19-7) on Saturday. The visitors from Osorno managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for American center Yamene Coleman (208-86, college: Troy, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. International forward Juan Fontena (196-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Osorno Basquetbol players scored in double figures. Venezuelan forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Venezuelan guard Jovanni Diaz (195-92) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Puente Alto. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Osorno Basquetbol keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Los Leones. Puente Alto at the other side keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost. Osorno Basquetbol is looking forward to face Tinguiririca S.F. (#11) in San Fernando in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Puente Alto will play at home against Las Animas and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
