Regular Season Round 13: Castelldefels - Cerdanyola 77-85

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Cerdalyola (4-8) won against on the road 9th ranked Castelldefels (4-7) 85-77 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Castelldefels won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Castelldefels outrebounded Cerdalyola 34-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. Castelldefels was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Genis Tena (186-89) fired 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Albert Salat (191-91) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Four Cerdalyola players scored in double figures. Forward Jordi Boronat (-85) produced 27 points and 9 rebounds and Andreu Sese added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Castelldefels' coach Alex Artigot let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory Cerdalyola went down to tenth position (Group C-B) due to points difference. Castelldefels lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
