Very expected game when 14th ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (2-9) was smashed by fourth ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (7-4) in Tarshicha 111-83. Hapoel Migd.H. players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Ironi Ramat Gan's players. Ironi Ramat Gan was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Puerto Rican Chris Gaston (201-89, college: Fordham) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) helped adding 25 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Aaron Brown (196-92, college: Boston Coll.) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-90, college: Murray St.) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Hapoel Migd.H. and five Ironi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hapoel Migd.H. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Hapoel B/S and Ironi Nes-Ziona. Ironi Ramat Gan at the other side stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hapoel Kfar Saba (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against Hasharon (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
