Regular Season Round 11: Lille - Vichy Clermont 75-71
Date: December 20, 2016
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Lille Metropole (7-4) beat at home 9th ranked JA Vichy (5-6) 75-71 on Tuesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 23-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Lille Metropole looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Swingman Thomas Ceci-Diop (199-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (204-85) contributed with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. David Denave (193-85) answered with 27 points and American point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for JA Vichy. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lille Metropole moved-up to third place, which they share with Bourg. Loser JA Vichy keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Lille Metropole will face STB Le Havre (#6) on the road in the next round. JA Vichy will play against Saint-Quentin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
