The game in Valdivia was also quite interesting. Third ranked AB Ancud (17-11) played at the court of 6th ranked Deportivo Valdivia (13-11). AB Ancud managed to secure a 8-point victory 88-80 on Wednesday. American forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) had a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Renato Vera (199-87) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American Durrell Summers (193-89, college: Michigan St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Leonard Washington (201-88, college: Wyoming, agency: Two Points) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. AB Ancud have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-11 record having just three points less than leader Los Leones. Loser Deportivo Valdivia keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with CDE Talca. AB Ancud will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Deportivo Valdivia will play against Puerto Montt (#9) and hope to secure a win.
