Regular Season Round 14: Valladolid - Cambados 77-74

The most exciting game of round 14 in the LEB Silver took place in Valladolid. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Cambados (8-6) to fourth ranked Blancos de Rueda (9-5) 77-74 on Wednesday evening. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-74. Blancos de Rueda outrebounded Cambados 47-26 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Sergio De La Fuente (198-89) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) chipped in 16 points. Blancos de Rueda's coach Inaki Martin Garcia used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) produced 27 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and forward Juan Rubio (196-95) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Blancos de Rueda have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Avila and Sammic ISB. Cambados at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Navarra. Blancos de Rueda is looking forward to face league's leader CB Granada on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cambados will play against Agustinos-Leclerc (#11) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
