Regular Season Round 26: Osorno - Las Animas 69-71

Important game to mention about took place in Osorno. Seventh ranked Las Animas (14-13) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Osorno Basquetbol (20-8) 71-69 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Osorno Basquetbol. Strangely Osorno Basquetbol outrebounded Las Animas 51-37 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Dominic Cheek (198-91, college: Villanova) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Franco Morales (179-92) contributed with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American center Yamene Coleman (208-86, college: Troy, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) added 19 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Osorno Basquetbol. Osorno Basquetbol's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Las Animas moved-up to fifth place. Osorno Basquetbol at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. They share it with Los Leones. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
