The game in San Luis Potosi was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Soles (13-8) played at the court of 7th ranked Santos (9-12). Soles defeated Santos 92-78. The game was mostly controlled by Soles. Santos was better in second period 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Santos' 34 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Soles players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Soles' coach Alejandro Martinez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Greg Smith (198-91, college: Colorado St.) answered with 28 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward B.J. West (211-89, college: Jackson St.) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Santos. Soles maintains third place with 13-8 record having eight points less than leader Fuerza Regia. Santos at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Barreteros. Soles will play against league's leader Fuerza Regia in Monterrey in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Santos will play on the road against the league's second-placed Toros (#2) in Nuevo Laredo and hope to get back on the winning track.
