Regular Season Round 12: Evreux - Provence Basket 77-73

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Provence Basket (11-1) on the court of ninth ranked ALM Evreux on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by ALM Evreux 77-73. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Provence Basket. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 25-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. ALM Evreux shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Bastien Pinault (195-93) who helped to win the game recording 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) who added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 13 points. Provence Basket's coach Remi Giutta rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ALM Evreux have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Provence Basket at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. ALM Evreux is looking forward to face higher ranked Nantes (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Provence Basket will play against Aix-Maurienne and is hoping to win this game.
