Regular Season Round 12: PGE Turow - Stelmet ZG 83-85

The most exciting game of round 12 in the PLK took place in Zgorzelec. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd ranked PGE Turow (8-5) to second ranked Stelmet (10-3) 85-83 on Monday evening. It was a good game for the former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 assists. Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) replied with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and international swingman Michal Michalak (197-93) added 22 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) in the effort for PGE Turow. Five Stelmet and four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. Stelmet have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 10-3 record having just one point less than leader Torun. PGE Turow at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Trefl Sopot. Stelmet are looking forward to face league's leader Twarde Pierniki in Torun in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PGE Turow will play on the road against Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
