Regular Season Round 13: St Chamond - Le Havre 62-76

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Saint Chamond (4-9) was defeated at home by sixth ranked STB Le Havre (8-5) 76-62 on Tuesday. The game without a history. STB Le Havre led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Saint Chamond's 32. They outrebounded Saint Chamond 44-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: Inception Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Josh Greene (183-92, college: CS Northridge) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Stephane Gombauld (205-97) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Eigirdas Zukauskas (203-92) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five STB Le Havre and four Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. STB Le Havre have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Nantes. Loser Saint Chamond dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. STB Le Havre will face league's leader Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saint Chamond will play on the road against ADA Blois (#12) and hope to win that game.
