Regular Season Round 15: Roseto - Virtus Bologna 81-90

Serie A2 top team - Virtus Bologna (11-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Roseto (8-7) 90-81. Virtus Bologna shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. It was a great evening for American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV) helped adding 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Virtus Bologna's coach Alessandro Ramagli allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) scored 24 points. Four Roseto players scored in double figures. Virtus Bologna maintains first place in A2 with 11-2 record. Roseto at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Virtus Bologna will play against Piacenza (#5) in Casalpusterlengo in the next round. Roseto will play at home against Verona and hopes to get back on the winning track.
