Very expected game in San Sebastian where 17th ranked Marin (3-14) was crushed by third ranked Gipuzkoa (12-5) 83-64 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Gipuzkoa. Marin was better in second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Mike Carlson (206-91, college: Truman St., agency: Duran International) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Lithuanian center Tautvydas Slezas (207-90, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds.
