Regular Season Round 28: Gunma - Toyotsu FE 69-76

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Gunma (19-9) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Toyotsu FE (22-6) 76-69. Gunma trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 21-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-76 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and forward Yuto Otsuka (188-90) who added 2 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Hirotaka Kondo (187-82) scored 19 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyotsu FE have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-6 record, which they share with Hiroshima D. Gunma lost third consecutive game. They still keep top place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
