Regular Season Round 30: Bambitious Nara - Fukushima 66-80

B League D2 top team - Fukushima (20-8) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat fifth ranked Bambitious Nara (8-20) 80-66. The game was mostly controlled by Fukushima. Bambitious Nara managed to win third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Fukushima won last quarter 22-10. American guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) notched 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) supported him with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) did not help to save the game for Bambitious Nara. Guard Shuhei Komatsu (185-85) added 15 points and 6 rebounds. Fukushima maintains first position with 20-8 record. Loser Bambitious Nara dropped to the sixth place with 20 games lost. Fukushima will meet at home league's second-placed Dragonflies in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bambitious Nara will play against the league's leader Kumamoto V. (#1) and hope to secure a win.
