Regular Season Round 14: Padova - Milano Hikkaduwa 64-58
Date: January 5, 2017
Very expected game when 13th ranked Milano Urania (4-10) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Padova (7-7) 64-58 on Thursday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was naturalized Dominican guard Jean Carlos Canelo (188-89) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Marco Lazzaro (198-92) chipped in 22 points. The former international power forward Andrea Paleari (202-81) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Simone Ferrarese (182-87) added 18 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Padova maintains eighth position with 7-7 record. Loser Milano Urania keeps the thirteenth place with ten games lost. Padova will face Desio (#9) on the road in the next round. Milano Urania will play against the league's second-placed Bergamo (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
