Regular Season Round 16: Sudety - Stal II Ostrow 73-67

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Jelenia Gora. Third ranked Sudety faced 4th ranked Stal II Ostrow. Host Sudety (10-4) defeated guests from Ostrow (9-6) 73-67. Sudety dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Stal II Ostrow's 26. The winners were led by Norman Zuber (190-94) who scored that evening 21 points and 5 assists and power forward Jaroslaw Wilusz (200-85) supported him with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) did not help to save the game for Stal II Ostrow. Mikolaj Spala (189-93) added 16 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Four Sudety and five Stal II Ostrow players scored in double figures. Sudety have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with AZS UMK Torun. Newly promoted Stal II Ostrow keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Sudety's next round opponent will be Gimbasket WRC (#6) in Wroclaw. Stal II Ostrow will play on the road against Katy Wroclawskie and hope to win that game.
