Regular Season Round 16: MKS DG 2 - AZS PS Gliwice 82-61

There was a small surprise in Dabrowa Gornicza where twelfth ranked MKS DG 2 (4-11) smashed 9th ranked AZS PS Gliwice (4-11) 82-61 on Friday. Strangely AZS PS Gliwice outrebounded MKS DG 2 43-30 including a 24-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for MKS DG 2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. AZS PS Gliwice was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Patryk Piszczatowski (190-98) fired 22 points for the winners. Lukasz Majchrowski (194-95) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. Center Piotr Krupa (204-88) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Daniel Pelka (193-80) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MKS DG 2 moved-up to tenth place, which they share with AZS PS Gliwice and Otmuchow. AZS PS Gliwice lost third consecutive game. MKS DG 2 will have a break next round.
